The lectorate Communication, Behavior & The Sustainable Society is part of the Centre of Expertise Energy of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen and contributes through research to the realization of a sustainable future.
In which way can communication and behavioral campaigns motivate people to collectively achieve a sustainable society? The sustainable society: “A society where the needs of the present can be met without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs” (after the Brundtland Commission, 1987).
Students, lecturers, researchers, government, citizen initiatives and businesses work together to shape a sustainable society. This we do, among other things, by making people think about their consumption and energy usage and by helping them make choices in that regard. With us and alongside us, you can work on shaping the future.
