The acceleration of the energy transition is crucial to counter the effects of climate change and keep our planet livable for future generations. New solutions are needed in every area, as are professionals capable of developing new technologies, energy concepts, and distribution and transport systems. We help to clarify the consequences of choices made in this regard.
At Entrance, energy professionals are trained, and good ideas are developed into solutions. How do we do that? By combining our knowledge and expertise with businesses, researchers, students, knowledge institutions, and governments.
Entrance – Centre of Expertise Energy is part of Hanze.
Entrance consists of six lectorates. A lectorate comprises a lector and a knowledge circle, where lecturers and external experts collaborate. In addition to students, academics are also active within these lectorates, where they have the opportunity to pursue a PhD under the supervision of the lector and university PhD supervisors.
Entrance, in collaboration with education, research, and professional practice, shapes six Learning Communities. In these communities, lectors, lecturer-researchers, and student-researchers work together with participants from professional practice to find answers to current and future challenges, all while learning.
