Renewable fuels and sustainable gas play an important part in the energy transition. Hydrogen is possibly the future carrier of energy, with bio-methane gas as a more local player and a possible backup to have a balance. The Northern Netherlands has committed to realizing a hydrogen ecosystem. The region boasts an impressive position in terms of knowledge and expertise in fossil gas and green gas.
