By collaborating with partners, we can accelerate the developments and implementation of new technologies as well as the transition to sustainable energy sources. The core of our collaboration is co-creation: to develop solutions that are feasible, reusable and scalable. We use a letter of support or letter of intent to formalize our strategic and multi-year collaborations.
In a letter of support, partners of a Learning Community demonstrate their backing of the initiative and their intent to be actively involved. This support can consist of financial or in-kind contributions, such as providing facilities or expertise, participating in Learning Community activities, giving guest lectures and attending meetings and continuing education activities. With a letter of support, partners show that they recognize the importance of the Learning Community and that they are dedicated to supporting and furthering the community’s goals.
Together with businesses, municipalities, provinces and top consortia for knowledge and innovation, we make arrangements for strategic collaboration. In a letter of intent, we agree to develop initiatives and innovation projects that are of importance for both parties. Every six months we discuss the progress of strategic collaboration statements together with our partners. The collaboration focuses on one or more pillars. These pillars are:
• Innovation challenges, research questions and projects
• Student assignments and internship positions for graduating students
• Developments in the labor market
• Experiment and demonstrate
• Knowledge communication
• Visibility and networking
