The necessity of replacing fossil fuels with sustainable ones, and the associated emergence of new energy markets and market players, such as for heat and hydrogen, has (legal) consequences for various legal areas. These include environmental law, contract law and procurement law and this leads to new (international and national) law and regulations, such as the Energy Act.
